the consultant gynecologist will be responsible for providing specialized medical care in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of womens reproductive health issues. the role involves clinical consultations, conducting surgeries and procedures, managing antenatal and postnatal care, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

key responsibilities

provide comprehensive care to women covering reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth.

conduct outpatient consultations, inpatient care, and follow-up visits.

perform gynecological procedures and surgeries (c-sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures, etc.).

manage high-risk pregnancies and complications.

oversee antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.

counsel patients on family planning, infertility, and preventive healthcare.

collaborate with other consultants, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals.

maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

participate in clinical meetings, audits, and continuous medical education programs.

qualifications & experience

mbbs with md/ms/dnb in obstetrics & gynecology from a recognized university.

valid registration with medical council of india/state medical council.

minimum [x years] of post-qualification experience as a consultant or senior resident (as per hospital requirement).

expertise in obstetric emergencies and gynecological surgeries.
