Assistant Electronic Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Program Development and Implementation:

• Designing and writing PLC programs: This involves translating process requirements and control logic into ladder logic, function block diagrams, structured text, or other PLC programming languages.

• Implementing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs): Designing and configuring HMIs for operator interaction and visualization of process data.

• Testing and debugging programs: Thoroughly testing programs in simulated and real-world environments to identify and resolve errors.

2. System Integration and Commissioning:

• Integrating PLCs with other automation components: Connecting PLCs to sensors, actuators, motors, and other devices.

• Commissioning and start-up of automated systems: Overseeing the installation, testing, and start-up of automated systems, ensuring they function correctly and safely.

• Troubleshooting and resolving system issues: Diagnosing and resolving problems with PLC programs, hardware, and communication networks.

• Calibrating instruments and devices: Ensuring accurate and reliable operation of sensors and actuators, temperature meter, etc.

3. Maintenance and Support:

• Maintaining and updating existing PLC programs: Modifying programs to accommodate process changes, improve efficiency, or address issues.

• Providing technical support to operators and maintenance personnel: Assisting with troubleshooting, training, and documentation.

• Performing preventive maintenance on PLC systems: Regularly inspecting and testing PLC hardware and software to prevent failures.

• Documenting PLC programs and system configurations: Documenting the machine operational, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance manual. Creating and maintaining detailed documentation for program logic, hardware configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Backing up PLC programs: Ensuring the safety of the programs through routine back-ups.
