responsibilities

1. program development and implementation:

• designing and writing plc programs: this involves translating process requirements and control logic into ladder logic, function block diagrams, structured text, or other plc programming languages.

• implementing human-machine interfaces (hmis): designing and configuring hmis for operator interaction and visualization of process data.

• testing and debugging programs: thoroughly testing programs in simulated and real-world environments to identify and resolve errors.

2. system integration and commissioning:

• integrating plcs with other automation components: connecting plcs to sensors, actuators, motors, and other devices.

• commissioning and start-up of automated systems: overseeing the installation, testing, and start-up of automated systems, ensuring they function correctly and safely.

• troubleshooting and resolving system issues: diagnosing and resolving problems with plc programs, hardware, and communication networks.

• calibrating instruments and devices: ensuring accurate and reliable operation of sensors and actuators, temperature meter, etc.

3. maintenance and support:

• maintaining and updating existing plc programs: modifying programs to accommodate process changes, improve efficiency, or address issues.

• providing technical support to operators and maintenance personnel: assisting with troubleshooting, training, and documentation.

• performing preventive maintenance on plc systems: regularly inspecting and testing plc hardware and software to prevent failures.

• documenting plc programs and system configurations: documenting the machine operational, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance manual. creating and maintaining detailed documentation for program logic, hardware configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

• backing up plc programs: ensuring the safety of the programs through routine back-ups.
