Job Title: Airport Ground Staff / Ground Handling Executive

Department: Ground Handling / Airport Operations

Job Summary

Airport Ground Staff are responsible for ensuring smooth and safe airport operations, assisting passengers, coordinating with airline teams, handling baggage, and maintaining service standards at airport terminals and aprons. This role demands excellent communication, customer service, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. aero+1

Key Responsibilities

Passenger & Customer Services

Assist passengers during check-in, boarding, and ticketing processes. aero

Manage flight information displays, gate announcements, FAQs, and passenger queries.

Provide special assistance (elderly, differently-abled passengers).

Handle complaints and lost-and-found matters.

Baggage Handling

Supervise and execute baggage check-in, loading, unloading, and transfer. aero

Ensure compliance with safety, weight, and security protocols.

Ramp & Flight Operations

Coordinate aircraft turnaround activities, including marshalling, towing, fueling coordination, and refueling safety. aero

Support cargo and freight handling where applicable.

Security & Compliance

Monitor and comply with BCAS, DGCA, and airport security guidelines.

Assist with security screening and documentation checks.

Administrative & Coordination

Maintain accurate records, logs, and communication with airline dispatch and control centers.

Coordinate with cabin crew, air traffic control, ground handling units, and maintenance teams.

Skills & Competencies

Required:

Excellent communication skills (English + local language useful).

Customer-focused, proactive, and team-oriented.

Ability to multitask under pressure and work in rotational shifts. aero

Basic computer skills.

Preferred (optional):

Diploma in Airport Management / Aviation / Hospitality.

Prior experience in airport operations or customer service.

Qualifications & Eligibility

Minimum: 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent.

Additional aviation/ground handling certification preferred.

Age: 1827 years (may vary by employer).

Physically fit and able to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
