Job Description

As an Airport Ground Staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth operation at the airport. Your responsibilities will include various support functions essential for passenger and airline operations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Passenger Assistance:** Help passengers during check-in, boarding, and disembarking. You will guide them through procedures and ensure they have everything they need for a pleasant journey.

- **Baggage Handling:** Manage the loading and unloading of passengers' luggage. This includes ensuring bags are properly tagged and transported safely.

- **Check-In Operations:** Operate check-in counters, verifying passenger identification and issuing boarding passes. Your accuracy is vital to maintaining a secure travel experience.

- **Customer Service:** Handle inquiries and resolve issues that passengers may face. Offering friendly and efficient service will enhance their travel experience.

- **Safety and Security Checks:** Perform pre-flight checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will monitor the boarding area and report any suspicious activities.

About Air India Airlines

Founded in 1932 as Tata Airlines by J. R. D. Tata, Tata himself flew its first single-engine de Havilland Puss Moth, carrying air mail from Karachi to Bombay's Juhu aerodrome and later continuing to Madras (currently Chennai). After World War II, it was nationalised by the Government of India in 1953 and was renamed Air India.[4] On 21 February 1960, it took delivery of its first Boeing 707 named Gauri Shankar and became the first Asian airline to induct a jet aircraft in its fleet. In 2000 - 01, attempts were made to privatize Air India and from 2006 onwards, it suffered losses after its merger with Indian Airlines.
