Job Summary
Airline Ground Staff are responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient airport operations and providing exceptional service to passengers before boarding and after landing. This role includes tasks such as check-in, baggage handling, ticketing, boarding assistance, and coordination with flight crews and airport personnel. The position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
Passenger Services
* Assist with check-in procedures, ticketing, and issuing boarding passes.
* Handle passenger inquiries, complaints, and requests courteously and efficiently.
* Provide special assistance to passengers with reduced mobility, elderly travelers, or unaccompanied minors.
* Make boarding announcements and assist passengers during boarding and disembarkation.
* Ensure accurate tagging, loading, and unloading of passenger baggage.
* Handle lost or delayed baggage claims and coordinate resolution with relevant departments.
* Supervise cargo loading and ensure compliance with weight and balance limits.
Operations and Coordination
* Liaise with flight crew, cabin crew, and ground handling teams to ensure timely departure and arrival processes.
* Monitor flight schedules and gate changes, updating passengers accordingly.
* Assist in emergency or irregular operations, following airline and airport safety protocols.
* Prepare and verify necessary documentation such as load sheets, flight reports, and manifests.
