position summary
the aircraft maintenance engineer is responsible for ensuring the safety, airworthiness, and reliability of aircraft through regular inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance in compliance with aviation regulatory standards. the role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to strict safety procedures.
key responsibilities
perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspection, servicing, and repair.
diagnose mechanical, electrical, avionics, hydraulic, and structural issues in aircraft systems.
ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with manufacturer manuals, regulatory standards (easa, faa, caa, dgca, etc.), and company procedures.
carry out troubleshooting and rectification of defects to restore aircraft to serviceable condition.
conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks and ensure aircraft are airworthy.
maintain accurate documentation and records of all maintenance activities in logbooks and computerized systems (amos, trax, oases, etc.).
collaborate with engineering teams, pilots, and ground staff to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
adhere to health, safety, and environmental (hse) standards at all times.
participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical input for process optimization.
stay updated with new technologies, modifications, and regulatory changes in aviation maintenance.
qualifications & requirements
degree/diploma in aeronautical engineering, aircraft maintenance engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
valid aircraft maintenance engineer license (easa part-66 / faa a&p / dgca / caa, as applicable).
type-rated on specific aircraft (., airbus, boeing, atr, embraer, etc.) preferred.
minimum 0–6 years of experience in aircraft maintenance (line/base maintenance).
in-depth knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards.
proficiency with maintenance management software (amos, trax, oases, etc.).
strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
good communication and teamwork skills.
