job summary
an air ticketing executive is responsible for booking, issuing, modifying, and canceling airline tickets while providing accurate travel information and excellent customer service to passengers and travel agents.
key responsibilities
handle domestic and international air ticket bookings
issue, reissue, and cancel flight tickets as per customer requests
check flight availability, fares, and schedules
use crs/gds systems (amadeus, galileo, sabre) for ticketing
calculate fares, taxes, and additional charges accurately
process refunds and rescheduling requests
assist customers with travel policies, baggage rules, and visa information
coordinate with airlines and travel partners
maintain accurate booking and passenger records
handle customer queries, complaints, and follow-ups professionally
eligibility & qualifications
minimum qualification: 10+2 or graduate (any stream)
diploma or certification in travel & tourism / airline ticketing preferred
basic computer knowledge and typing skills
knowledge of airline codes, airport codes, and fare rules is an advantage
