The Accounts & Finance Executive at an airport is responsible for managing financial transactions, billing, revenue accounting, and compliance within airport operations. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, cost control, and coordination with various airport departments such as airlines, ground handling, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Accounting Operations
Maintain daily financial transactions, ledgers, and journal entries
Prepare and manage invoices for airlines, cargo services, and airport vendors
Monitor accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies
Handle cash flow management and petty cash
Revenue & Billing Management
Generate billing for airport services (landing, parking, cargo, etc.)
Track revenue from airlines, retail outlets, and concessionaires
Ensure timely collection of payments and follow up on outstanding dues
Verify contracts and billing agreements
Compliance & Reporting
Prepare financial reports, MIS reports, and monthly statements
Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and financial policies
Assist in audits (internal & external)
Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions
Ensure GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance (India-specific)
Coordination & Administration
Coordinate with airlines, ground staff, and vendors for billing and payments
Work closely with the operations team for service-based charges
Support budgeting and financial planning activities
Maintain financial records in ERP/accounting software
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Familiarity with GST, TDS, and Indian taxation
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, ERP systems)
Advanced MS Excel skills
Attention to detail and analytical thinking
Good communication and coordination skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (), Finance, or Accounting
MBA/PGDM in Finance (preferred)
CA Inter / CMA Inter (optional advantage)
Experience
0-6 years of experience in accounts or finance roles
Experience in aviation, airport, logistics, or infrastructure sector preferred
