Role Summary

The Accountant manages the general ledger, prepares financial reports, analyzes financial data, and ensures compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role provides critical financial information to management for strategic decision-making and operational planning.

📝 Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis

Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement (P&L), and Cash Flow Statement.

Month-End/Year-End Close: Execute and oversee the timely and accurate completion of the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and deferrals.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual and budgeted results.

2. Accounting Operations and Compliance

General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and properly reconciled.

Account Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, fixed assets, accounts payable (A/P), and accounts receivable (A/R) ledgers.

Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Audits & Controls: Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.

3. Strategic Support

Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide insightful reports to management on cost-saving opportunities and profitability drivers.

Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and financial systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
