Hairdresser Qualifications & ExperiencePosition: Hairdresser (Male / Female)Location: Lotus Salon, Nagrota Bagwan KangraQualifications:Diploma or certificate in cosmetology / hairdressing from a recognised institute.Good knowledge of hair anatomy, hair health, basic dermatology relating to scalp/hair (recognising contraindications).Familiarity with latest hair-cutting, colouring, styling techniques, including for both men and women.Basic proficiency with salon tools and equipment: scissors, razors, hair-dryers, straighteners, colour mixing, etc.Good communication & interpersonal skills; ability to consult with clients, understand their style/preferences, recommend appropriate looks.Understanding of hygiene, sanitation and safety practices in salon at all times.Experience:Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on work in a salon environment (ideally in medium to high-end salon) for junior/stylist level. For senior level: 6+ years.Proven track record of working with both male and female clients: hair-cuts, colouring, highlights, styling for occasions, etc.Experience in client consultations: analysing face-shape, hair-type, skin tone, suggesting personalised hair-styles and maintaining client satisfaction.Comfortable handling colour services (bleach/lightening/toning), and chemical services (perms/relaxers) if offered by the salon.Portfolio of past works (photos of styles done) is an advantage.Familiarity with current hair trends (both mens and womens), ability to upsell services and recommend retail hair-care products.Ability to work as part of a team and manage multiple clients/appointments; punctuality and reliability are essential.Preferred / Additional Skills:Proficiency in social-media friendly styling (for photos & reels) helps in salon marketing.Experience in bridal or event-hair styling (especially for women) is a strong plus.Multi-lingual (English + local language) to interact with diverse client base.Upselling experience: recommending hair-care, hair-colour treatments, designer cuts etc.Personal Attributes:Creative flair with strong aesthetic sense.Good hygiene, professional appearance and attitude.Excellent listening skills, patient with clients, dedicated to client satisfaction.Able to handle busy periods (weekends, peak hours) gracefully.Flexible working hours (including late evenings or weekends) if required
