Preoperative Duties:Preparation of the Operating Room:Sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and surfaces.Set up the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment based on the surgical procedure.Check functionality and availability of surgical tools, lights, anesthesia machines, and other devices.Assisting the Surgical Team:Help in positioning the patient on the operating table.Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including aseptic techniques.Coordinate with anesthesiologists and nurses for preoperative preparations.Intraoperative Duties:Support During Surgery:Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants as needed.Monitor and ensure sterility is maintained throughout the procedure.Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis.Equipment Management:Operate and manage surgical equipment like suction machines, diathermy units, and endoscopes.Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions promptly.Postoperative Duties:Cleanup and Restocking:Disinfect and clean the operating room after procedures.Restock surgical supplies and prepare for the next procedure.Documentation:Maintain records of instruments used, patient details, and any complications.Ensure proper storage of surgical specimens and instruments.

Ensure working of OT equipment like anesthesia machine, Heart-lung machine and ventilator equipment2. Maintenance of operation theatre records3. Conduct regular physical verification of all the specialty wise OT equipment 4. Ensure that a proper and regular supply of oxygen and suction is maintained all the time5. Responsible for fumigation of OTs and their documentation6. Ensure working of centralized oxygen piping7. Maintenance of OT temperature and humidity as per the protocols8. Scavenging system for removal of anaesthetic gases9. To verify the functioning of the anaesthesia machine and breathing system10. Checking and confirming all instruments and medicines are in stock and loaded on the trolley for the surgery11. Assists in the patient transfer or shifting from stretcher to the table and also sometimes to and fro from OT to hospital room12. Handling the C-ARM Machines during the surgery13.
