- Responsible for assisting with ramp operations, including loading and unloading luggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft.- This involves safely handling bags, parcels, and cargo, ensuring they are securely loaded onto the aircraft, and following proper procedures to prevent damage or loss.- Communicate effectively with flight crews and other personnel to ensure timely and efficient aircraft turnarounds.- This includes coordinating with pilots, ground crews, and other airline staff to ensure that luggage and cargo are loaded and unloaded in a timely manner to keep flights on schedule.- Operate ground support equipment, such as tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts, to transport luggage and cargo between the terminal and aircraft.- Ramp Service Agents must be trained to operate specialized equipment safely and efficiently to move baggage and cargo to and from aircraft.- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the ramp to ensure safety and efficiency.- This involves keeping the ramp area clear of debris, equipment, and other hazards to prevent accidents and injuries during aircraft operations.Skills and Expectations:- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.- Strong communication and teamwork skills.- Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.- Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
