The District Engineer SLWM will be positioned at any of the three districts (Purulia, Howra and Malda) of West Bengal. The responsibilities are stated below Coordinating with District officials for SBMG Phase II roll-out Support in preparing action plans (VSP) on Solid Waste Management, Grey Water Management, Plastic Waste Management Plan and FSM Plan at District, Block and GP Level Support district in preparing DPRs on above Support in preparation of designs and estimates for various technologies Preparation of monthly fact sheets of implementation of VSPs of select GPs Facilitation support for implementation of above plans Capacity Building and Handholding support at various level for implementation and resource mobilization Demonstration of innovative models in Solid, Liquid, Plastic Waste Management and FSM Facilitating trainings, workshop for various stakeholders at different levels Technical inputs for design of communication campaigns Support in preparation of ODF plus action plan/Verification Plan Developing protocols, SOPs on Safe Hygiene Standards Documentation and Report Writing Preparing Training Manual, Resource Material, Documenting Best Practices Contribute to district level advocacy by conveying ground level learnings to districts regarding O&M management under SBM(G) II, analysis of VSPs, etc. Participation in review meetings, etc. Any other work as and when assigned by Client/company. Desired Profile of the Candidate: Graduate in Civil/Environmental Engineer with WASH sector experience of 3-5 years. Candidate resident from the respective district will be preferred Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in designing, estimation and implementing SLWM, Plastic Waste and FSM Projects. Should have good communication skills both written and verbal Bengali, Hindi and English. Should be willing to travel
