Responsible for end-to-end management of Government Solar EPC projects, including design coordination, procurement, execution, statutory compliance, billing & invoicing, commissioning, and O&M, ensuring timely completion, quality, and contractual compliance.Key Responsibilities:1. Project Planning & Execution (AZ Ownership)Overall responsibility for end-to-end execution of Government Solar EPC projects.Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation.Ensure timely completion as per contract milestones and tender conditions.Coordinate with internal teams (Design, SCM, QA/QC, Finance, O&M) and external stakeholders.2. Design & Engineering ManagementOversee basic & detailed engineering including:Plant layout, DC/AC design, inverter sizingElectrical SLDs, GA drawings, transmission & evacuation systemsEnsure design compliance with CEA, MNRE, DISCOM, and tender specifications.Coordinate design approvals with clients, consultants, and authorities.3. Procurement & SCM OversightGuide procurement strategy for modules, inverters, MMS, transformers, BOS, and services.Ensure vendor finalization as per government tender conditions and approved makes.Monitor material delivery schedules and cost optimization.4. Construction & Site ManagementOversee civil, mechanical, and electrical construction activities.Ensure compliance with HSE standards, QA/QC procedures, and method statements.Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, and manpower deployment.5. Statutory & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with CEA regulations, Electrical Inspectorate, DISCOM norms, and local authorities.Manage approvals related to grid connectivity, charging, and synchronization.Ensure adherence to government EPC contract terms & conditions.6. Billing, Commercials & ContractsComplete ownership of RA bills, milestone billing, and final billing.Coordinate with finance and client teams for timely certification and payments.Manage contract variations, claims, extensions of time (EOT), and correspondence.Ensure project profitability and cost control.7. Commissioning & HandoverLead project commissioning, synchronization, and performance testing.Ensure successful COD / SCOD as per PPA and EPC contract.Manage final documentation and project handover.8. Operations & Maintenance (O&M)Oversee transition from EPC to O&M phase.Ensure plant performance, PR guarantees, and uptime compliance.Monitor long-term O&M contracts and SLAs.9. Client & Stakeholder ManagementAct as single point of contact for government clients, consultants, and utilities.Attend review meetings with SECI / NTPC / DISCOMs.Maintain strong relationships with authorities and stakeholders.
