Supervises workers to produce manufactured products, andorganizes and monitors workflow. Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating jobexpectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results;coaching, and disciplining employees; and initiating,coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Maintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes,setting processing variables, observing control points andequipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studyingmethods, implementing cost reductions, developing reportingprocedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctionswithin process control points, and initiating and fostering aspirit of cooperation within and between departments. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigningpersonnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities,monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems,and reporting results of the processing flow on shift productionsummaries. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcingproduction standards. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs andevaluating new equipment and techniques. Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzingoperating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control,and budgetary and personnel requirements, and implementingchange. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating anddirecting personnel on the use of all control points, equipment,and resources, and maintaining compliance with establishedpolicies and procedures. Maintains working relationship with members andrepresentatives by following the terms of the collectivebargaining agreement. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results asneeded.
