Job Summary:The Picker Packer is responsible for efficiently and accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. This role involves handling inventory, following safety protocols, and ensuring timely dispatch of goods in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Key Responsibilities:Order Picking:Locate and select items from shelves or bins based on order slips or digital systems.Packing:Pack products securely using appropriate materials (boxes, bubble wrap, tape) to prevent damage during transit.Labeling and Documentation:Label packages correctly with shipping details, invoices, or barcodes as required.Quality Check:Inspect items for damage or discrepancies before packing and report any issues.Inventory Management:Assist in stock counting, replenishment, and maintaining inventory accuracy.Safety and Cleanliness:Maintain a clean and safe work area by following warehouse safety guidelines.Use of Tools and Equipment:Operate handheld scanners, trolleys, or pallet jacks as necessary.Skills and Qualifications:Basic literacy and numeracy skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to lift and move heavy packages (as required)Good organizational and time-management skillsBasic knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory systemsTeam player with a positive attitudePrior experience in warehousing/logistics (preferred but not always required)Work Environment:Physically demanding: involves standing, walking, liftingWork in varying temperatures depending on the warehouse typeMay involve shift work, weekends, or overtime during peak seasons
