Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in designing packaging machines using Solidworks 3D and 2D software. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing packaging machinery that meets the needs of our clients.Key Responsibilities: Design and develop new packaging machines and equipment using Solidworks 3D and 2D software. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet customer specifications, budget, and timelines. Create detailed drawings, specifications, and schematics of designs for fabrication and assembly. Perform necessary calculations, simulations, and tests to ensure that designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. Conduct design reviews, provide feedback and recommendations to improve designs. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure the smooth transition of designs to production. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing packaging machines. Proficient in Solidworks 3D and 2D software. Strong knowledge of design and manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. 1. Actively coordinate with global & local teams on new products, tenders, special project developments to achieve company strategic business plans.2. Deployment of newly developed product from Order placement to dispatch.3. Ensure to find best raw material supply lines in terms of specification, price & delivery. Ensure raw material availability for first order deployment.4. Ensure to run accurate costing with most cost-effective production process and raw material.5. To ensure an effective records & file maintain system for data & design accuracy.6. Carry out product development meetings in regular time frames with global/local teams to improve the conversion rate of samples to bulk.7. Possess strong customer and product knowledge, working across functions to ensure items are setup efficiently and accurately.8. Provides consistent information coming from counterpart, sales to process owners (Designers, Quality, CS)9. Carry out product re-engineering programs to increase the profit margins & operational effectiveness by liaising with global/local teams10. Ensure to follow best practices in safety, compliance & quality of service.11. Responsible for notifying managers on any environmental impact & or safety issues in the surrounding environment.12. Responsible for complying with all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.13. Perform any other duties as appropriately may be assigned by the Management.
