We are seeking a skilled Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our team in Siliguri. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 8 years of experience and will work full-time in our office. Key Responsibilities:- Patient Consultation: Conduct thorough eye examinations and medical assessments to diagnose various eye conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans.- Surgical Procedures: Perform eye surgeries, including cataract surgeries, glaucoma surgeries, and laser treatments, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.- Treatment Plans: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients based on their conditions and needs, while explaining procedures and potential outcomes clearly.- Medical Record Management: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation of patient treatments and care in compliance with health regulations.- Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with medical staff and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and participate in case discussions to enhance patient outcomes.Required Skills and Expectations:The successful candidate should possess a valid medical license and specialized training in ophthalmology. Strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of eye diseases and their management are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial for interacting with patients and their families compassionately and effectively. A commitment to staying current with advancements in ophthalmology and a dedication to providing the highest level of patient care are expected. Desired qualification and skills of the job applicant should be Post Graduation in Ophthalmology and proficiency in Cataract surgery (SICS/Phaco). Candidates who have recently completed a long-term fellowship program may also apply. Treat patients with respect and ensure they receive high quality eye care services. Assist with the training of eye care staff and volunteers as requested by the CMO/CEO Act as a role model to Junior Doctors and Paramedic Staff regarding the quality of treatment provided to patients and in the performance of other clinical activities. Participate in weekly Continuous Medical Education sessions for sharing details of interesting cases, take classes regarding rare diseases. Ensure the equipment is in good working order and medical supplies are available to maintain patient flow. Participate in state and national level ophthalmic conferences for skill and knowledge enhancement as well as for presenting research papers/case studies. Participate in monthly clinical audit with CMO/CEO to ensure adequate follow-up/corrective measures to ensure quality of care and capacity building. Attend training sessions within and outside the hospital to enhance professional skills. Responsible for other duties as designated by the CMO/CEO
