K9HR SOLUTIONS is looking for Moulding Engineer as Follows:A Sand Casting Moulding Engineer oversees the design, optimization, and production of sand molds and cores. They balance sand properties, gating systems, and machinery to prevent casting defects. Their primary goal is to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and dimensionally accurate metal castings.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Design & Optimization: Design gating, risering, and venting systems for sand molds to ensure proper metal flow and solidification.Sand Management: Monitor and adjust sand properties (e.g., green sand compactibility, permeability, moisture, and mold hardness) to prevent gas defects and sand erosion.Pattern & Core Development: Supervise pattern mounting, core-making, and assembly processes to maintain exact dimensional tolerances.Defect Analysis & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve casting defects like shrinkage, porosity, sand inclusions, and misruns. Implement corrective actions and refine process parameters.Equipment Oversight: Set up, calibrate, and maintain automated and semi-automated molding machines (e.g., jolt-squeeze, flaskless molding)

Responsible for daily shift-wise production planning To maintain target production output with rejection controls and quality. To monitor the production process and re-schedule, whenever required. Responsible for inventory control during the shift Responsible for manpower utilization during the shift To maintain shift-wise production data in terms of quantity produced,% rejections, down-time,Material consumption To take measures to decrease the operating cost. To minimise total downtime due to various factors To implement quality guidelines, tools, techniques etc To identify new improved processes for productivity improvement To co-ordinate with maintenance staff for machine break-down and preventive maintenance Responsible for autonomous maintenance of the machines in the department
