Key ResponsibilitiesWelding Operations: Perform high-quality structural and precision welding using various techniques based on material specifications, including:MIG (GMAW): Metal Inert Gas welding for steel and structural fabrications.TIG (GTAW): Tungsten Inert Gas welding for precision, thin materials, and stainless steel/aluminum.ARC / Stick (SMAW): Shielded Metal Arc Welding for heavy structures or maintenance work.Blueprint Reading: Interpret mechanical drawings, symbols, and welding blueprints to precisely plan layouts, assembly paths, and material requirements.Fit-up & Fabrication: Align, position, and secure parts together using jigs, fixtures, clamps, and turnbuckles prior to welding. Cut and prepare metal joints using grinders, torches, and saws.Quality Inspection: Inspect completed welds for defects, cracks, or distortion using gauges and visual checking methods. Ensure final assemblies match specified dimensions and tolerances.Machine Maintenance: Maintain and set up welding equipment, checking gas regulators, wire-feed speeds, and current voltage to ensure optimal machine performance.Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to workshop safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as welding helmets, gloves, and safety shoes.
