Junior Accountant Graduate Jobs in Chennai

We are looking for a Junior Accountant with 3-4 years of experience to manage day-to-day accounting activities for a real estate company. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Tally, GST, TDS, reconciliations, bookkeeping, and maintaining accurate financial records. Prior experience in the real estate or construction industry will be an added advantage.Key Responsibilities:Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain books of accounts.Record receipts, payments, purchases, sales, expenses, and journal entries in Tally.Maintain and reconcile ledgers and bank accounts.Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.Prepare invoices, vouchers, debit notes, and credit notes.Assist in GST calculation, reconciliation, and return filing.Handle TDS-related accounting and compliance activities.Prepare trial balance and assist in monthly financial closing.Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.Prepare MIS and other reports as required by management.Assist with audits and provide required financial documents.Ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities.Required Skills & Qualifications:B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.3-4 years of relevant accounting experience.Good hands-on knowledge of Tally Prime.Working knowledge of GST and TDS.Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.Experience in bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.Good working knowledge of MS Excel.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good communication and coordination skills.Real estate / construction industry experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain and finalize accounts up to Balance Sheet level. Prepare and review financial statements, P&L accounts, and MIS reports. Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Bank Reconciliation. Handle GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory filings within due timelines. Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits. Oversee billing and invoicing related to freight, CHA, transportation, and marine services. Manage vendor and client ledgers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance. Proficiency in Tally ERP / Zoho Books accounting software, etc. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and lead a small team.
