Responsibilities:Understanding Project Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project objectives, functional requirements, and design specifications.Conceptual Design and Development: Generate innovative design concepts and solutions that meet project requirements, considering factors such as functionality, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and safety.Detailed Design and Drafting: Create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) using CAD software ([Specify CAD Software - e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA]).Engineering Calculations and Analysis: Perform necessary engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses (e.g., stress analysis, thermal analysis) to validate designs and ensure performance.Material Selection: Select appropriate materials based on design requirements, performance criteria, and cost considerations.Design Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize designs for improved performance, efficiency, and manufacturability.Prototyping and Testing Support: Collaborate with the manufacturing and testing teams during the prototyping and testing phases, providing design modifications and support as needed.Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and test reports.Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineers from other disciplines (e.g., manufacturing, quality, production), as well as project managers and suppliers, to ensure seamless product development.Adherence to Standards: Ensure that designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines.Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve design-related issues that may arise during development or production.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest design trends, technologies, and software to enhance design capabilities and efficiency.
