Key Responsibilities Conceptualization & PrototypingDesign Strategy: Develop high-level design concepts based on client requirements or market research.3D Modeling & Rendering: Create complex 3D models and high-quality renderings for client presentations and internal approvals.Prototyping: Oversee the creation of physical or digital prototypes to test form, fit, and function before mass production. Technical Engineering & DocumentationDetailed Engineering: Create precise 2D technical drawings, including Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and manufacturing specifications.GD&T Application: Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to ensure parts fit together perfectly during assembly.DFM/DFA: Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to reduce production costs and time. Project Leadership & CollaborationCross-Functional Liaison: Coordinate with the Production Manager and Quality Engineer to ensure the design can be manufactured within the plant's capabilities.Vendor Coordination: Work with external toolmakers or material suppliers to ensure design specifications are met.Mentorship: Guide junior design executives and draftsmen on software best practices and design standards.
