The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects. The role ensures efficient, safe, and code-compliant electricaldesigns covering power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.Key Responsibilities:1. Electrical System Design (HT/LT):- Collaborate with project teams to understand client requirements and electrical load needs.- Prepare electrical load calculations and power distribution layouts including control schematics.- Design lighting systems, emergency power, grounding & earthing systems, and lightning protection etc.- Selection and sizing of equipment including Transformers, Generators, UPS, Panels, Circuit Breakers, Cables, and Switchgear etc.- Prepare detailed single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring/control schematics, and equipment layouts.- Design of ELV systems (Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Data & Communication).- Carry out HV, LV and EIV with load calculations and system design2. Code Compliance:- Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, IS, and local authority regulations.- Stay updated on latest electrical codes, standards, and sustainable design practices.3. Technical Support:- Provide technical input during design development and construction.- Assist in resolving site-related issues and ensure adherence to design intent.4. Documentation:- Prepare and maintain electrical design reports, drawings, and calculation sheets.- Maintain clear and accessible documentation for project teams/records.Qualifications:- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design.- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, power distribution, and low-voltage systems.- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar software.- Knowledge of load analysis software (ETAP, Dialux, etc.) preferred.- Effective communication and collaboration skills. - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
