Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons according to the prescribed curriculum.Explain biological concepts clearly using practical examples, diagrams, models, and demonstrations.Prepare lesson plans, presentations, worksheets, assignments, and study materials.Conduct regular tests, quizzes, practical sessions, and assessments.Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.Identify students' learning gaps and provide appropriate academic support.Prepare students for board examinations and competitive examinations such as NEET, where applicable.Conduct and supervise Biology laboratory practicals while ensuring safety procedures are followed.Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress.Encourage students to develop scientific thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.Stay updated with changes in Biology curricula, teaching methodologies, and relevant scientific developments.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and academic management when required.Educational QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Zoology, Botany, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification preferred for school teaching positions.Relevant teaching experience will be an added advantage.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of Biology fundamentals and concepts.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong classroom management abilities.Ability to simplify complex scientific concepts.Good lesson planning and time-management skills.Proficiency in preparing digital presentations and online teaching materials.Passion for teaching and mentoring students.Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty members.
