Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and products according to project requirements and specifications. Utilise CAD software to create 2 D and 3 D models, drawings, and assembly layouts.Conduct feasibility studies and perform calculations to ensure the technical feasibility and viability of designs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, production, and quality assurance, to optimise designs for manoeuvrability and cost-effectiveness.Conduct design reviews and participate in problem-solving activities to address design issues and improve product performance.Perform structural analysis, simulations, and testing to validate and optimise designs.Create and maintain engineering documentation, including design specifications, bills of materials, and test plans.Support the manufacturing process by providing technical guidance, troubleshooting design-related issues, and assisting in process improvement initiatives.Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to select appropriate materials, components, and equipment for the design and manufacturing process.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities -------------------------1.
