Key Responsibilities:Technical Support:Provide first-level support for desktop-related issues, including hardware, software, and peripheral devices.Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and other end-user devices.Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.Hardware Setup and Maintenance:Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware components, such as CPUs, RAM, hard drives, and peripherals.Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades on desktop systems.Software Installation and Configuration:Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and standard desktop applications.Assist users with software-related issues and provide training when necessary.User Account Management:Create and manage user accounts, profiles, and access permissions.Reset passwords and assist users with account-related issues.Endpoint Security:Implement and enforce endpoint security measures, including antivirus software and system updates.Collaborate with the security team to address security incidents on end-user devices.Documentation:Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for common issues.Communication:Communicate technical information to non-technical users in a clear and understandable manner.Provide updates on issue resolution and follow-up with users as needed.Collaboration:Collaborate with other IT support teams to ensure seamless resolution of issues.Work with system administrators and network engineers to address connectivity and access issues.Qualifications and Skills:Associate's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field.Entry-level experience in desktop support or a similar role.Basic knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common productivity applications.
