We are seeking a skilled and experienced VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Programmer plus Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating our VMC machine to produce high-quality precision components. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine operation, and attention to detail will be crucial to the success of our manufacturing processes.Responsibilities :-Utilize CAD/CAM software to create CNC programs for VMC machines based on engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements.-Set up VMC machines, including tooling, fixtures, and workpieces, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to safety standards.-Operate VMC machines to carry out machining operations such as milling, drilling, and tapping, while maintaining high-quality standards and production efficiency.-Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance, part quality, and cycle times.-Conduct routine maintenance on VMC machines, such as tool changes, coolant management, and cleaning, to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.-Perform inspections of finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications and make necessary adjustments.-Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine performance, tool wear, and machining errors, implementing corrective actions to maintain productivity.-Document and maintain accurate records of production activities, including CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling, and quality inspection reports.-Adhere to safety guidelines and practices, promoting a safe working environment and reporting any potential hazards or incidents.

Operations:-Responsible for day-to-day operations of the shop floor activities.Liaison with cross functional teams for planning and execution of the work.Regularly update the management on cross functional activities.Design and development:-Participate in Design and development activities of new products.Design and development of Jigs, fixtures and other necessary toolingCreate/Update/modify the drawings as required using CAD toolsDo the necessary engineering calculations, analysis, test procedures etc required for new product development.Build the prototypes in coordination with suppliers and conduct thorough development testing.Suppliers/Inventory/store room:-Efficient inventory management in such a way that, smooth flow of parts is always maintained.Coordination with vendors and purchase teamAddress all the technical queries raised by vendorsImplement effective inventory/store room protocolsQuality control:-Responsible for the quality of each and every component as well as the final product that is dispatched to the customer.Set up the required quality control protocols and implement them on continual basis.Skills/Qualifications:-Masters/Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.Must have sound knowledge of manufacturing processes. Experience of tool room would be added advantage.Should be well versed with design fundamentals and mechanical engineering. Exposure to hydraulic and pneumatic products such as valves, FRLs, actuators etc would be added advantage.Should be fluent in using CAD tools. Experience of PROE, CREO would be better.Must be a team player with leadership abilities.Should be capable of working without supervision.Must be proactive and effective in communications.Should be a good facilitator between cross functional teams.
