You will create detailed technical specifications and digital models while ensuring that designs are optimized for performance, safety, and ease of manufacturing (DFM/DFA). You will work at the intersection of creativity and mathematics, solving complex engineering problems through iterative testing and simulation.Key Responsibilities1. Product Design & Development3D Modeling & Drafting: Create high-fidelity 3D models and detailed 2D technical drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX).Generative Design: Use AI-driven design tools to input constraints (weight, material, stress) and allow the software to generate optimized organic shapes that reduce material waste.Prototyping: Oversee the creation of physical prototypes using 3D printing (Additive Manufacturing) or CNC machining for functional testing.2. Analysis & SimulationFEA & CFD: Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to test structural integrity and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to analyze heat or fluid flow.Tolerance Stack-up: Perform rigorous tolerance analysis to ensure that multiple parts fit together perfectly during mass assembly.Material Selection: Research and select materials based on cost, environmental impact, durability, and thermal properties.3.
