Position OverviewAn Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, repairing, and servicing aircraft to ensure they remain airworthy, safe, and compliant with aviation standards. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to aviation safety regulations set by DGCA, EASA, or FAA authorities. Aircraft Mechanics play a critical role in ensuring flight safety and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities 1. Maintenance & RepairPerform routine, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, engines, and components.Conduct inspections, adjustments, and replacements of defective parts and systems.Carry out A-checks, B-checks, and assist in heavy maintenance (C and D checks) under supervision.Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using approved manuals and diagnostic tools.Install, align, balance, and test mechanical assemblies, systems, and parts. 2. Aircraft Inspection & ServicingConduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to verify aircraft readiness.Check systems including landing gear, brakes, flight controls, and fuel systems.Test repaired systems to ensure functionality and compliance with technical specifications.Record discrepancies and corrective actions taken in maintenance logs. 3. Technical DocumentationMaintain accurate maintenance records, service bulletins, and inspection reports.Follow manufacturer manuals (AMM, IPC, SRM) and company maintenance programs.Complete job cards, work orders, and compliance checklists as per aviation authority guidelines.Update electronic maintenance management systems (AMOS, TRAX, Ramco, etc.). 4. Safety & ComplianceAdhere strictly to DGCA, EASA, or FAA maintenance regulations and safety standards.Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), company quality manuals, and safety protocols.Ensure proper use and control of tools and equipment to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD).Report potential hazards, unsafe practices, or non-compliance issues immediately.Participate in safety audits, training sessions, and quality control inspections. 5. Troubleshooting & Problem SolvingIdentify faults through systematic troubleshooting methods.Recommend repairs, replacements, or modifications as needed.Collaborate with senior engineers and maintenance planners to resolve complex technical issues. 6.
