Total Responsibilities A key engineering role in the development of complex, multi-tiered and distributed web-based software applications. Required to work with variety of technologies whist providing guidance and support to the ream in an agile environment with a strong focus on software engineering best practices, incremental delivery, continues integration and test-driven development. The design and development of enterprise-grade, mission-critical products, and solutions for one of the worlds largest corporations. Produce high quality, high stability code and designs by following software engineering best practices. Work collaboratively in a cross functional team in an Agile delivery environment. Be involved in projects throughout their full software lifecycle: from development, QA, and deployment to post-production support Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutionsSoftware Developer: Qualifications & General Criteria A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, Minimum Five (5) years of experience in developing production enterprise applications. A Programming (.net, C#, VB, ) and software engineering background. Experience in Agile Software practices Retail and Wholesale Domain knowledge and development experience is an added advantage Strong knowledge in fundamental web-based technologies, protocols, techniques, and popular open-source libraries: HTTP, HTML5, JavaScript, Java etc. Hands on experience and experience on RDBMS (MS SQL, MYSQL, DB2 , Oracle etc) technologies and Big data Architecture Adherence to engineering standards and best practices Strong communication skills, reading & comprehending documents/specifications, producing clear and thorough documentation, ability to converse fluently and explain technical issues during meetings Oracle Fusion experience and AS400 knowledge and experience is an added advantage Proven experience for past projects Excellent communication and client facing skills. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with quick learning on the jobDepending on the experience, the candidate will either report to Team Leader Development, or Group IT Manager.
