Prepare BOQs, tender documents, and estimates from drawingsConduct rate analysis and quantity estimation for projects.Create bills of quantities and prepare contractor billing.Manage subcontractor billing processes.Ensure accurate client billing and planning engineering tasks.

Regularly liaise with subcontractors, architects, engineers, surveyors, planners, supervisors & anyone else involved in the project. Frequently meet with the client to update them on the progress of the project. Monitor and interpret technical designs and drawings, ensuring they are applied correctly. Negotiate, agree and oversee (with quantity surveyors) the choice and price of materials to be utilized on the project. Set out, level and survey the site. Manage the site on a day-to-day basis. Provide cost-effective proposals, solutions and alternatives for the project. Make sure projects meet agreed specifications, budgets and deadlines. Provide technical advice and solve any on-site problems that occur. Prepare and create site reports, as well as complete any necessary paperwork. Ensure that health and safety policies are obeyed. Its not always required, but for some projects, youll have to communicate with the local authority to make sure you comply with local regulations and by-laws

Source and purchase construction materials including cement, steel, fittings, electrical, plumbing, etc.Evaluate vendor capabilities, compare quotations, and negotiate prices and terms.Coordinate with site engineers / project managers to understand material requirements.Track deliveries, ensure quality standards, and manage material inventory levels.Ensure timely replenishment of recurring items to avoid shortages.General Responsibilities:Maintain purchase records, contracts, and approvals in coordination with Finance.Conduct market research for cost-effective sourcing strategies.Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.Work closely with Accounts, Admin, and Operations teams for smooth functioning.Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality.Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, with exposure to construction industry.
