Job Description:1. Shall care for infants transitioning to extra uterine life2. Shall provide appropriate care to patient3. Shall consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans4. Shall provide nutritional assessment & specialized feeding5. Shall change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs as instructed by the physician.6. Shall monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on infants, such as incubators and ventilators7. Shall prepare and administer and record prescribed medications. Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments to the physician / specialist.8. Shall monitors vital signs and initiate corrective action whenever the infant displays adverse symptomatology, communicate condition to care team9. Shall assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures, which can include life-saving situations10. Shall Instruct and educate patients family11. Shall participate in discharge planning12. Shall record all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms13. Shall adhere to the hospital quality policy, NABH norms, HR norms, Health and safety policies and Infection Control standards.14. Shall perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting
