Job Summary The Electrical Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all electrical operations, maintenance activities, and compliance requirements within the organization. The role ensures optimal equipment performance, safety compliance, cost control, and effective team management.Key Responsibilities1. Department Leadership Lead and manage the electrical maintenance team. Allocate manpower and monitor daily activities. Ensure proper shift planning and resource utilization. Develop team capability through training and guidance.2. Electrical Maintenance & Operations Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems. Monitor performance of transformers, panels, motors, and utilities. Minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting. Maintain electrical drawings and documentation.3. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with statutory and electrical safety standards. Implement DGMS/CEA/IE rules as applicable. Conduct safety audits and risk assessments. Ensure proper earthing and protection systems.4. Project & Cost Management Plan and execute electrical projects and installations. Control maintenance and energy costs. Monitor power consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives. Prepare and manage departmental budgets.5. Vendor & Inventory Management Coordinate with vendors for AMC and service support. Ensure availability of critical electrical spares. Approve purchase requisitions for electrical items. Evaluate vendor performance.6. Reporting & Documentation Prepare MIS reports for management. Maintain maintenance logs and statutory records. Analyze breakdown trends and suggest improvements. Support audits and inspections.
