Position Name: Hindi TeacherDepartment: Language DepartmentSupervisors: Head of Department, Academic Vice PrincipalPosition Description:Teach Hindi language and syllabus courses to Middle/High School Hindi students primary language (Language B). Act as a liaison between IAS administration, teaching staff.Teach the history of Hindi literature with an emphasis on modern literature and selected literary works, literary skills including text handling, written and oral presentationsAcademic Qualifications:B.A/M.A. (or equivalent) from a recognized university;B.Ed/ TESOL/ or language teaching certificate desirableProfessional Experience:At least three years of teaching experience or equivalent in a multi-cultural or international contextProfessional SkillsDedicated to student learningStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skillsTeam player with the ability to delegate and coordinate workWilling to work creatively with available materials/ resourcesAble to create and teach interdisciplinary lessons.Understand the developmental characteristics, differences in learning styles and intelligence and adapt lesson planning and teaching appropriatelyCapacity to support the goals and mission of IAS through his/her personal philosophy.Fluent in written and spoken Hindi.Experienced dealing with youth ages 10-16Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skillsResponsibilities:Support IAS guiding principlesTeach up to 75% out of total instructional periods in a 6-day cycle.Preparation, marking, report writing, and all other administration related to the teaching of the subject(s).Participate in departmental meetings, planning, in-service training activities, and invigilation duties as required by the Head of Department or Coordinators.
