- As a fabrication fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting metal parts together to construct machines, structures, and other equipment.- You will need to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents to determine the appropriate fabrication methods.- Utilize various tools and equipment such as welding machines, grinders, and measuring devices to accurately fabricate and fit metal components.- Perform TIG welding to join metal parts together in accordance with the specifications and quality standards.- Conduct grinding operations to smoothen rough edges and surfaces of fabricated metal parts for a precise finish.Skills and Expectations:- Proficiency in welding techniques such as TIG welding, MIG welding, and arc welding.- Experience in fabrication work including cutting, bending, and assembling metal components.- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.- Strong attention to detail to ensure precise fitting and alignment of metal parts.- Physical strength and stamina to work with heavy metal components and machinery.- Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
