About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Shopify Developer with expertise in both frontend and backend development to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, customizing, and optimizing Shopify stores, developing custom themes, managing integrations with third-party systems, and ensuring a seamless user experience.Key ResponsibilitiesFrontend Development:Design, build, and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Implement responsive and mobile-friendly UI/UX across devices.Optimize website performance, loading speed, and SEO compliance.Backend Development:Develop and maintain custom Shopify apps (public/private) using Node.js, Ruby, or PHP.Work with Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL) for data exchange, order processing, and automation.Handle backend logic for custom checkout processes, payment gateways, and data workflows.Integrations:Integrate Shopify with CRM, ERP, payment gateways, fulfillment partners, and marketing tools.Configure and troubleshoot third-party apps and APIs.Automate processes like inventory management, shipping, and reporting.Collaboration & Maintenance:Work closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptly.Stay updated with Shopifys latest features, best practices, and industry trends.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong experience with Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.Proficiency with Shopify Admin API and Storefront API (REST & GraphQL).Experience with Node.js, Express, or other backend frameworks.Familiarity with Shopify app development and private app deployment.Experience with Shopify Plus (preferred but not mandatory).Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD workflows.Experience integrating third-party tools (payment gateways, shipping APIs, CRM, ERP).Good understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and web accessibility.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Nice-to-Have SkillsFamiliarity with React.js, Vue.js, or other modern frontend frameworks.Experience with headless Shopify (Hydrogen, Storefront API with React).Understanding of eCommerce analytics, CRO, and marketing automation tools.Education & ExperienceBachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).2-5 years of proven experience as a Shopify Developer (frontend + backend).
