Responsibilities:- Backend-first development: Design, build, and optimize robust APIs, data pipelines, and backend logic.- Internal tooling & automation: Build tools and scripts that automate manual processes, streamline workflows, and scale backend operations.- Web integrations: Integrate with third-party APIs (e.g., gift card providers, payment processors) in a clean, modular way.- Data systems: Handle structured data processing, cleanups, and smart rule-based triggers that support decision-making features.- Product experiments: Collaborate on feature rollouts that require full-stack support but with backend as your home turf.You should apply if:- Youre comfortable with Node.js, PostgreSQL, Python, or similar backend stacks.- You have a solid grasp of REST APIs, webhooks, and backend architecture principles.- You can build fast and break smart - scrappy but with an eye for maintainability.- Youre curious about product and growth, not just code.- Bonus: Youve built side projects, automations, or internal dashboards for real use.
