Job Description for Audit Assistant Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated accountant to join our Audit & Consulting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the accounting functions of our client while working closely with our consulting team. This position will be permanent and report to the client's place.Responsibilities: Monitoring and ensuring accurate and up-to-date records in the accounting system Carry out vouching of transactions and approve the same as per policy Ensure bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations are completed Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Respond to inquiries from clients and vendors regarding invoices and payments Assist client with the filing of monthly and quarterly GST and TDS returns Assist in Monthly MIS preparation based on Office & client request Perform other duties as assignedRequirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Prior work experience in a Chartered accountants office will be preferred We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for career advancement.
