Sound Engineer/Technician(s) are required to assemble, operate and maintain the technical equipment used to record, amplify, enhance, mix or reproduce sound. They need to identify the sound requirements for a given task or situation and perform the appropriate actions to produce this sound. 
Roles & Responsibilities:
Sound technician roles are split into two categories:
â¢	Production â The recording of all sound in studio.
â¢	Post-Production - The balancing, mixing, editing , designing  and enhancing of pre-recorded audio.
Production activities include:
ï¼	Assessing the acoustics of the performance area and assembling and operating the necessary equipment.
ï¼	Consulting with Project Manager(s) and performer to determine the sound requirements.
ï¼	Selecting, positioning, adjusting and operating the equipment used for amplification and recording.
ï¼	Applying technical knowledge of sound recording equipment to achieve the determined artistic objectives.
ï¼	Candidate would be responsible for recording of game audio tracks.
ï¼	Recording sound onto digital audio tape or hard disk recorders.
ï¼	Monitoring audio signals to detect sound-quality deviations or malfunctions.
ï¼	Anticipating and correcting any problems.
ï¼	Maintaining and repairing sound equipment.
ï¼	Editing of game audio tracks in Nuendo, Logic Pro, Pro tools or Equivalent
Post-production activities include:
ï¼	Integrating (synchronization) of pre-recorded audio (dialogue, sound effects and music) with visual content;
ï¼	Re-recording and synchronizing audio (post-synching);
ï¼	Mixing and balancing speech, effects and music;
ï¼	Editing and Designing Sound effects;
ï¼	Creating and altering sound effects for use in Games/Applications.
ï¼	Mastering of audio tracks and designing of game audio tracks.
ï¼	Editing and making of Promos of game play videos in Final Cut Pro.
