*Job Description: Purchase Manager (Substation Equipment)*We are seeking an experienced *Purchase Manager* with specialized knowledge in procuring equipment for substations operating at 132 kV and above. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the specific equipment required for such high-voltage substations, along with proven negotiation and supply chain management skills.*Key Responsibilities:*- Identify and source equipment necessary for the construction and operation of substations (above 132 kV).- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms for quality, price, and delivery timelines.- Oversee the procurement process to ensure compliance with industry standards, quality control, and timely deliveries.- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align purchasing strategies with project requirements and budget constraints.- Continuously evaluate suppliers and market conditions to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory requirements.- Coordinate logistics and supply chain processes to optimize inventory levels and reduce lead times.*Qualifications:*- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.- 7-10 years of experience in purchasing within the substation/high-voltage industry (132 kV and above).- Strong knowledge of equipment used in substations, including transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, etc.- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.- Proficiency in supply chain management tools and software.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.*Preferred Skills:*- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.*Location:* Kolkata
