responsibilities:

1. reading and interpreting blueprints to determine type and size of welding and cutting equipment required

2. welding and assembling metal components using various welding techniques such as mig, tig, and stick welding

3. inspecting welds for accuracy and adherence to quality standards

4. performing routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools

5. handling and transporting materials and equipment as needed

6. following safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
