Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Fitter to join our maintenance team. The
ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance work,
specifically in a metal manufacturing environment. The role involves installation, repair, and
maintenance of industrial equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, furnaces, burners, and other
machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure smooth
operations.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs on pumps, motors, valves, furnaces,
burners, and other factory machinery.
- Dismantle and assemble mechanical components for maintenance, repair, and replacement.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot mechanical systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.
- Ensure proper alignment, balancing, and calibration of rotating equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and industry standards while handling heavy machinery and tools.
- Assist in equipment installation and commissioning.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Coordinate with other departments for smooth workflow and minimal downtime.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a metal
manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, furnaces, burners, and related industrial
equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
- Experience with welding, cutting, and fabrication is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Good understanding of workplace safety standards and protocols.
- Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdown
