We are looking for a practical engineer to convert technical concepts into testable systems, working prototypes and documented engineering deliverables. Projects may involve electronics, embedded systems, automation, software, mechanical integration or AI depending on the candidate's strengths. Deep expertise in every discipline is not expected.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering design and implementation
• Translate requirements into design options, implementation plans, milestones and test criteria.
• Develop relevant circuits, firmware, software, CAD models, automation assemblies or system integrations.
• Perform calculations, simulations, debugging and iterative design improvements.
• Maintain source code, drawings, schematics, bills of materials and revision histories as applicable.
Research and prototyping
• Review technical papers, patents, component data sheets and engineering reference material.
• Design feasibility experiments and document methods, measurements and limitations.
• Coordinate parts procurement, fabrication and specialist external services for prototypes.
• Assemble, test, diagnose and improve proof-of-concept and demonstration units.
Project delivery and safety
• Provide honest estimates, regular progress updates and early escalation of technical risks.
• Create readable test reports, technical handover notes and demonstration material.
• Follow safe laboratory, equipment and electrical working practices appropriate to assigned work.
• Protect confidential designs, code and other intellectual property.
Required Skills and Preferred Background
• Strong fundamentals and hands-on ability in at least one engineering field relevant to the work.
• Evidence of independently built projects, debugging and experimental validation.
• Clear documentation, analytical thinking and willingness to learn adjacent technologies.
• Useful specialisations include embedded systems, electronics, Python, robotics, IoT, control, mechanical design, AI or automation.
• BE, BTech, ME, MTech or equivalent demonstrated practical capability preferred.
How Performance Will Be Assessed
• Functional prototypes and completed technical milestones with reproducible test results.
• Reliable documentation, working design files and transparent reporting of failures and limitations.
• Reduced rework through thoughtful design reviews, testing and version control.
