Ø Negotiating price discounts with suppliers based on projected volume sales to ensure that the company is getting the best price possible

Ø Monitoring supplier performance to ensure that they are delivering quality products on time and within budget

Ø Reviewing catalogues and samples provided by suppliers to determine which products are most appropriate for the companys offerings

Ø Developing new supplier relationships as needed, such as working with suppliers to develop new products that meet the companys needs

Ø Maintaining inventory of products and materials used in manufacturing and distributing products

Ø Establishing purchasing contracts with suppliers that include detailed specifications of product quality and delivery methods

Ø Reviewing purchase orders to ensure that all terms have been met and the correct amount of product has been ordered

Ø Coordinating with third party logistics companies to ensure that orders are delivered on time to the appropriate location

Ø Managing existing supplier relationships by communicating regularly with suppliers regarding order status and other business issues
