job summary:
we are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic f&b service associate to join our team. the successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests, ensuring that they receive outstanding service and hospitality.
key responsibilities:
1. greet and serve guests: welcome guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure that guests' needs are met.
2. maintain high standards: ensure that the dining area is clean, tidy, and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety standards.
3. food and beverage knowledge: possess knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to answer guests' questions.
4. handle guest complaints: respond promptly to guest complaints, resolving issues professionally and courteously.
5. teamwork: collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
6. cash handling: handle cash, credit card transactions, and operate the point-of-sale system accurately.
7. maintain accurate records: record orders, manage inventory, and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
8. adhere to hotel policies: comply with hotel policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring that guests receive consistent and exceptional service.
requirements:
1. education: high school diploma or equivalent required. hospitality or food and beverage certification preferred.
2. experience: minimum 1-2 years of experience in f&b service, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.
3. language: fluency in english required. additional language skills an asset.
4. physical demands: ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move quickly and efficiently.
5. availability: flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
