Roles and Responsibilities

1. Good understanding of SQL Server Architecture, Memory handling.

2. Strong knowledge and hands on expertise in below areas:

SQL server stored procedures

(a) Functions

(b) Triggers

(c) SQL jobs

(d) Performance tuning

(e) Writing and reviewing T-SQL code.

3. Day-to-Day Production DB support and maintenance of MS SQL server.

4. Perform Database system optimization and improvement and query optimization.

5. Plan and maintain Database Archiving

6. Assisting Application team in detecting performance problems.

7. Basic understanding of database development cycle

8. Backup and recovery from Backup.

9. Knowledge of database index management, statistics update.

10. Should be hands-on in writing SQL queries

Desired Candidate Profile

Good to have Hands on experience on Database Mirroring, Log Shipping, Replication and Always-on in all SQL versions
