Lead Software Developer - Financial Research

Brief JD:

We are hiring a Lead Software Developer with strong full-stack development and technical leadership experience to build next-generation financial research applications. The role involves React/TypeScript frontend, Python backend and AWS cloud development, along with mentoring a development team and driving solution design.

Key Responsibilities

Lead full-stack development using React/TypeScript and Python.

Design and develop scalable web applications on AWS.

Provide technical leadership, code reviews and solution recommendations.

Mentor developers and support the team throughout the project lifecycle.

Develop REST APIs and integrate relational databases.

Perform application design, debugging and performance optimization.

Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.

Support CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and production deployments.

Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement.

Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Key Requirements

6+ years of full-stack enterprise web development experience.

Strong React/TypeScript + Python experience.

Strong AWS experience: Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, CloudFront, S3.

Strong SQL and relational database experience, preferably MySQL.

REST API, OOP and software design principles.

Experience with Terraform/IaC, Git and CI/CD.

Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps or AWS CodePipeline.

Team leadership/mentoring experience.

CFA + financial equity research experience is a strong plus.
