Core Responsibilities
A Social Media Expert manages the entire lifecycle of a brand's social presence:
Strategy & Platform Optimization: Determining which platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, or Threads) are best for the brand and tailoring the voice for each.
Content Creation & Curation: Scripting, filming, and editing Reels/Shorts/TikToks, designing carousels, and writing scroll-stopping captions.
Community Management: Being social in social media—replying to DMs, engaging in comment threads, and managing brand reputation during a crisis.
Paid Social Advertising: Running targeted ad campaigns (Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads) to reach new audiences and drive specific ROI.
Social Listening: Monitoring mentions and industry trends to keep the brand relevant and proactive rather than reactive.
Influencer Collaboration: Identifying and managing partnerships with creators to expand reach through social proof.
