Job description

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and optimize Shopify Liquid themes for Shopify and Shopify Plus stores.

- Implement responsive, high-performance storefronts using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Collaborate with UI/UX, QA, and project managers to ensure high-quality delivery.

- Integrate 3rd-party apps, payment gateways, and APIs. Create reusable sections, snippets, and custom components for internal accelerators.

- Apply AI-assisted tools (., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Shopify AI theme analyser) to accelerate development and maintain consistency.

- Ensure coding standards, SEO optimization, and accessibility compliance.

- Participate in Shopify certification and learning programs to enhance verified skills.

Technical Skills Requirement:

- Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid, Shopify Theme , and JSON templates. Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery. Familiarity with Shopify CLI, Git, and version control workflows (GitHub / Azure).

- Experience with Shopify metafields, custom checkout, and cart scripting.

- Understanding of REST & GraphQL APIs for Shopify integrations. Basic understanding of Shopify Flow and automation triggers. Knowledge of AI-powered code review, content generation, and test case tools.

- Additional Desirable Skills Familiarity with Shopify Plus and B2B functionalities.

- Experience in Shopify Functions, Hydrogen, or Oxygen frameworks. Basic understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and Lighthouse audits.

- Exposure to AI-driven UI testing or UX analysis tools. Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jira, and Agile methodologies.

Education & Certification

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or equivalent.

- Must complete at least one Shopify Verified Skill certification within the onboarding phase.

- Encouraged to earn additional Shopify Academy credentials (Liquid Theme Development, Store Setup, Performance Optimization).
